As the saying goes, there are many possible reasons for an insider to sell a stock, but only one reason to buy — they expect to make money.
So let's look at two noteworthy recent insider buys.
On Friday, Cisco Systems (CSCO)'s Director, Wesley G.
Bush, made a $557,404 buy of CSCO, purchasing 10,000 shares at a cost of $55.74 each.
So far Bush is in the green, up about 1.5% on their purchase based on today's trading high of $56.59.
Cisco Systems is trading down about 1.2% on the day Wednesday.
This buy marks the first one filed by Bush in the past twelve months.
And also on Friday, Director Elizabeth H.
Weatherman purchased $500,981 worth of Nevro Corp (NVRO), purchasing 8,183 shares at a cost of $61.22 a piece.
Nevro Corp is trading off about 0.8% on the day Wednesday.
So far Weatherman is in the green, up about 3.5% on their buy based on today's trading high of $63.34.
