Amber... the starbase robins all girls stem academy is now in its fifth year.

And their main goal is to help turn passion into business and innovation.

12-28 32-52 59-107 not only is it a learning experience it's something fun to do over summer.

Katherine coyne is 11 years old... this is her first year participating in stem.

Coyne says she is excited to be a part of a program with only girls.

Oh that's going to be a lot more exciting because i mean we do have lots of boys, there's only two girls in our group.

So i think it'll be more exciting and since it's all girls i can talk more and be more comfortable talking to them the curriculum of the program is put together by demtria smith, a 5th grade instructor.

What we do here is we wake kids up to stem like they've never seen before this year we are super excited because we are bringing in the us patent and trade office.

So they are coming in to do a three day workshop with the girls to teach them about intellectual properties and entrepreneurship in ways they've never seen before related to stem the all girls stem academy is $200, but each girl receives a scholarship of some of the programs taught are, innovations, programming, and entrepreneurship.
