Cracks on Willis Tower Skydeck Startle Visitors, But Officials Say No Danger
Although they were in no danger, visitors were alarmed when the glass “floor” appeared to shatter at the Willis Tower Skydeck in Chicago, Illinois, on Monday, June 10.
Jesus Pintado was visiting the attraction with his wife, Karly, enjoying the 1,300 feet view.
Pintado said he then heard a noise that sounded like glass cracking and noticed that the “floor” beneath him appeared to be shattered.
According to reports, the cracks appeared in the protective layer that is placed on top of the glass.
Willis Tower engineers are reportedly investigating the problem.
