Pompeo Says The US Wants To Avoid War With Iran

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said the U.S. doesn’t want to go to war with Iran.

According to Reuters, he said the country will take whatever action necessary.

Pompeo said they want to guarantee safe navigation through vital shipping lanes in the Middle East.

The Trump administration recently accused Tehran of attacking two oil tankers in the Gulf of Oman.

Although Iran denied having any role in the attack, tensions between the two countries have grown.
