According to CNN, he said Microsoft should have been Apple’s chief iOS rival.

Gates said Google beat Microsoft in launching a mobile operating system that competes with Apple.

He said Android creating “the standard non-Apple phone platform” and there’s only room for one in the market.

Microsoft was the leader in the computer industry but fell behind Apple with smartphones.
