President Trump lashed out at Andrew McCabe on Twitter.
President Trump on Saturday launched a scathing Twitter attack against his prominent critic, former acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe.
Referencing a tweet about McCabe's book, The Threat: How the FBI Protects America in the Age of Terror and Trump, the president called him a "sleazebag."
"Andy McCabe is a major sleazebag," Trump tweeted.
"Among many other things, he took massive amounts of money from Crooked Hillary reps, for wife's campaign, while Hillary was under 'investigation' by FBI!"
Trump slammed McCabe earlier in the year as well.
"Wow, so many lies by now disgraced acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe," Trump tweeted in February.
"He was fired for lying, and now his story gets even more deranged."
CBS News noted at the time that after the firing of FBI Director James Comey in May of 2017, McCabe claimed in a "60 Minutes" interview that "law enforcement officials discussed whether to secretly record a conversation with the president and whether Mr. Trump could be removed from office through invoking the 25th Amendment."
