HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE FORMULA E NEW YORK CITY E-PRIX WON BY SEBASTIEN BUEMI STORY: Sebastien Buemi raced to his first win of the season Saturday (July 13) in an incident filled New York E-Prix while championship leader Jean-Eric Vergne failed to clinch after a late crash.

Polesitter Buemi lead away in his Nissan e.dams but was forced to fend off attacks from first Alexander Lynn and then Mitch Evans to earn his first Formula E win since the season three Berlin stop.

Lynn was forced to retire after his Panasonic Jaguar was slowed by a mechanical issue in the first half of the race but Evans would continue on in his Jaguar to claim second place for the second race in a row and keep his slim title hopes alive.

BMW Andretti driver Antonio Felix da Costa grabbed the final podium spot followed by teammate Alexander Sims in fourth place and Audi Sport Abt pilot Lucas di Grassi in fifth.

Vergne, looking for his second straight Formula E title, entered the penultimate race of the season with a chance to clinch but failed to do so after a late run in with Felipe Massa with one lap remaining.

The DS Techeetah driver saw his championship lead cut to 22 points with di Grassi, Evans, and Buemi mathematically alive with just Sunday's (July 14) final race remaining.
