PV Sindhu becomes first Indian to win BWF World Championships | Oneindia News

India's badminton star PV Sindhu has created history.

PV Sindhu has won the BWF Badminton World Championship.

With this, she has become the first Indian player to achieve the World Badminton title.

She defeated Japan's Nozomi Okuhara by a margin of 21–7, 21–7 in a one-sided match.

This is her third consecutive and fifth medal in this championship.

Sindhu was playing the final for the third time in a row, but she has won the title for the first time.

She had won silver medals in the years 2017 and 2018.
