Tottenham not dwelling on 7-2 Bayern defeat ahead of next match - Mourinho
Spurs coach Jose Mourinho says his players haven't rewatched a single image from their nightmare 7-2 loss in reverse fixture as his side seeks to focus on its own game.
(SOUNDBITE) (English) TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR COACH, JOSE MOURINHO, SAYING ABOUT TOTTENHAM'S 7-2 DEFEAT TO BAYERN MUNICH ON OCTOBER 1: "I watched it a couple of times.
Me and my staff, the analysts, we tried to go through every detail of that match, but not one single image for the boys.
No, not at all.
We are going to focus more on us than on Bayern.
We are going to try to develop our model of play.
Of course with different bodies, with different faces, with different players.
But there is a certain way that we try to play football and to try to develop our principles of play, and we are totally focused on us tomorrow and less on Bayern.
That's the way we are going to approach it." 2.
MOURINHO IN NEWSER STORY: Tottenham coach Jose Mourinho said he has not allowed his team to watch a single frame of their 7-2 defeat to Bayern Munich ahead of their next match against the Bavarians on Wednesday (December 11).
Speaking to reporters in Munich ahead of the Champions League group stage match, Mourinho said he was focusing on Tottenham's own performance rather than dwelling on Bayern.
A clinical Bayern Munich thrashed Tottenham Hotspur 7-2 away to seize control of Champions League B Group on October 1.
Although both teams have already qualified for the knockout stage, Mourinho said Wednesday's match was still important, and a chance for some of the younger players to show him what they can do.
Their opponents Bayern Munich have won all five games in Group B, but the German champions' Bundesliga form has failed to match their European exploits as they lie seventh in the standings after a last minute 2-1 defeat by Borussia Moenchengladbach on Saturday (December 7).
