Dolphin washes up on Indonesian beach with injuries sustained from plastic waste
The carcass of a spinner dolphin was found washed up on a beach in Padang with multiple injuries sustained from plastic waste in the ocean.
Filmed on January 11, a group of locals spot the dolphin carcass and drag onto the beach where they point out the visible injuries on the body.
The dolphin had a large puncture on the side of its body which is suspected to have been caused by wood floating in the sea.
Ramlan, one of the fishermen at Muaro Lasak beach, said: "The death of the dolphin indicates the sea condition of the city of Padang is contaminated by trash because the dolphin is one of the sea animals that like cleanliness "
