Two is the magic number for these adorable twin sisters who will celebrate their second birthday this weekend - on 2/2/2020.

Parents Lee Bunting, 43, and his wife MaeMae, 38, will be even hosting a tutu-themed party to fittingly commemorate Boudica and Delilah's unique birthday this Sunday (2/2).

The couple said they only recently twigged how significant the date was when they began to make arrangements for the celebrations a few months ago.

MaeMae, who is originally from Indonesia, said the amazing coincidence came as a special surprise to her as numbers signify good luck and fortune in Asian culture.

The girls will enjoy a party with 50 friends and family at their house in Ravenstone, Leics., - where everything will come in twos.

Housewife MaeMae, who is also mum to four-year-old son Solomon, said: "I think it's rather phenomenal that we have two girls turning two on 2/2/2020.

"That's a lot of twos if you ask me.

"It's an Asian thing about dates and numbers.

I've grown up being a bit superstitious.

I believe that numbers bring good luck and good fortune.

"I only just recently realised when I had it written down.

It's a bit bizarre.

"I'm on a twin parents group on Facebook and as soon as I realised how strange the date was, I asked the group what would be nice for a theme.

"Most of them came up with a two by two party, like Noah's Ark, but we have already done that.

So we decided on tutus instead.

"I'm going all out on the decorations, I've made the tutus and everything.

"I will be making tutus for everything, for the room, for the chairs and for the tables.

I want all the guests to be wearing a tutu.

Men, women, children - everyone "The girls are too young to understand, they are just looking forward to the party.

They love being around people.

"Its a once in a lifetime event really.

We have done parties for our older son, so it's only fair the girls have a party as well.

"We have hired an entertainer, who will be in a tutu costume as well.

"I think I am retiring from organising after this, it's too stressful.

Its also been quite expensive.

But it's worth it for such a special date though." The girls had been due to be born on February 1, 2018, but due to a mix-up, they were delivered the next day.

MaeMae added: "They should have been born by C-section on February 1, 2018 which is my dads birthday, who has now passed away.

"That date would have been great and very meaningful, but they sent us home because I had to have an injection and they told me to come back the next day.

"It would have been nice but this is very special too.

"Boudica is a minute older and she came out screaming and wailing.

Delilah was fast asleep when she was born.

"Since then, we knew they would be completely different.

"They have such different personalities, even when they are this young.

They are like chalk and cheese." Dad Lee, a meter fitter with BES Utilities, said: "The tutu party idea has got a good response.

All our friends with children are getting involved.

"MaeMae is originally from Indonesia and numbers are quite a big part of their culture, so she got very excited about their birthday.

"Our wedding was on the 20/11/11, so that was another big date too.

We will be doing two of everything.

Two sandwiches, two bits of cake, stuff like that.

"The theme is two's.

Even two-party bags each.

"We are expecting around 50 people.

It's a good number.

We might even ask Archbishop Desmond Tutu to see if he can come."
