FedEx driver shovels snow off stoop for customer

Kindergarten teacher Jodi Brooks LaFreniere was recently the recipient of a unexpected kind gesture.

On Jan.

23, LaFreniere checked her Ring doorbell security system and saw FedEx employee Melvin Marlett.

Marlett had decided to shovel a thick layer of snow from her stoop before dropping off a large package for delivery.

LaFreniere was touched by the gesture and took to Facebook to share a clip of Marlett’s deed.

She told CNN that “it made [her] day” and that she “couldn’t believe it”.

The video quickly went viral, racking up more than 70,000 views and more than 460 shares.

Marlett said that despite any praise he’s received, he still considers his actions to be nothing out of the ordinary.

“I would hope it’s something that anybody would have done … If you take care of your customers, they take care of you”
