Ahmedabad civic body builds walls to conceal slums along Trump's way | OneIndia News
The Ahmedabad civic body has come up with a trick to "beautify" the passage of US president Donald Trump's roadshow in the city on his India visit.
They are building walls on a war-footing to conceal slums on the route that Trump and Pm Modi's roadshow will take.
The idea it appears is to hide any unseemly sights that may expose India's poverty.
The Ahmedabad civic body is building half-a-kilometre long wall which is about 6-7 feet high on the stretch that leads to Gandhinagar from Ahmedabad airport.
The road connects the sardar vallabhai patel intl airport with Indira bridge.
Both PM Modi and Pres Trump will attend a massive event at the newly built Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Stadium on the lines of ‘Howdy, Modi’, which was held in Houston last year.
