Multiple deaths after shooting at Molson Coors facility in Milwaukee

Milwaukee police were responding to a "critical incident" at the Molson Coors Beverage Co facility on Wednesday, with local media reporting a mass shooting that caused multiple casualties.

Police responded Wednesday to a shooting at Milwaukee's Molson Coors Beverage facility.

According to Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett, multiple people had been killed, including possibly the shooter.

(SOUNDBITE)(English) MILWAUKEE MAYOR TOM BARRETT, SAYING: "It is a horrible, horrible day for the employees here, it's a very rough day for anybody who is close to this situation." A message posted on Twitter by the Milwaukee Police Department said that police were "investigating a critical incident" and urged the public to "stay clear of the area." Molson Coors said in a statement: "There is an active situation at our Milwaukee facility and we are working closely with the Milwaukee Police Department." Local media reported that the entire Molson Coors campus headquarters was placed under a security lockdown.

At the White House, President Trump offered condolences: (SOUNDBITE)(English) U.S. PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP, SAYING: "I'd like to extend my deepest condolences to the victims and families in Milwaukee Wisconsin." Police and fire department officials did not immediately return phone calls or email queries from Reuters.
