Mike hidalgo of the opelousas police department returns to crime stoppers and needs your help in identifying the suspects involved in a shooting in opelousas.

On january 6, 2020, at approximately 10:30 pm, officers from the opelousas police department were dispatched to the 800 block of south railroad ave.

For a shooting complaint.

Upon arrival, officers found ms. shakyra cage, covered in blood and a vehicle she was riding in riddled with bullet holes.

Officers determined that ms. cage had been struck approximately four times and she was transported to lafayette general hospital for treatment.

The driver of the vehicle, jaylen alexander, was not injured.during the investigation, detectives discovered that the suspect vehicle was a small, dark colored, four-door and the shooter or shooters, fired approximately thirty rounds at the victi's vehicle.

The suspect vehicle left the scene traveling south on railroad ave.

Then east on jefferson st.
