Watch this little girl's powerful plea to people to stay inside amidst coronavirus

Watch the moment a four-year-old girl asked the public to stay inside to stop the spread of coronvavirus.

Auriella Whittington, 4, is currently self isolating with her mum Kerry Green, 28, and her brother Peter, seven, at their home in Telford, Shropshire.

The smart little girl has been discussing the dangers of coronavirus with her mum after learning about it at school when being taught about the importance of hygiene.

Peter suffered with a bout of gastroenteritis two weeks ago, weakening his immune system, and after developing a cough, the little boy was advised to stay at home.

Auriella and her mum are also asthmatic and have been self isolating with Peter at home since last Friday (20th).

She filmed the video yesterday afternoon (23rd).

In the clip, eloquent Auriella pleads with people to stay inside and said: "If we go out and catch coronavirus, I'll never see my mummy and daddy again and I'll be here all alone." She added: "Urm there is coronavirus spreading around.

That's why we need to stay in our houses.

"I don't want to go outside now and I'm going to stay in the house." Delivery driver Kerry said: "Auriella is aware of everything that's going on from seeing the news and from her school telling the kids about hygiene being so important right now.

"She's been talking about coronavirus non stop so I told her she should do a video to tell people her thoughts.

"She has been saying that she can't go out around people in case she gets a virus that could be bad for her.

"Auriella has been more worried about me and her dad getting poorly than her getting ill herself - she wants us both to be safe and worries about us not being there if we were to get the virus.

"She knows that many people have sadly passed due to the pandemic so I think her saying that she was worried about never seeing her mummy and daddy again was just a worry she was feeling at the time.

"Hearing her say that completely melted my heart.

I don't talk about death in front of her as she's too young but her understanding of things is beyond her age completely.

"I never want her to worry about things like that yet she is worried at this difficult time."
