Travel banned in Georgian municipalities as 20,000 examined for coronavirus

Travel has been banned in the Georgian municipalities of Marneuli and Bolsnisi as 20,000 residents are being examined for the COVID-19 virus.

All businesses have also been closed except critical infrastructures such as grocery stores and drug stores.

The government made the above decision after a middle-aged woman from the Marneuli municipality tested positive for the virus.

The woman, who is in a critical condition and has pneumonia, had been in contact with dozens of people.

This footage filmed on March 25 shows an army checkpoint in Marneuli.
