First coronavirus death in Oneida County

Oneida County Executive Anthony Picente has announced that the first death due to coronavirus, but will not be releasing any details about the person.

The sad announcement that someone has died due to coronavirus.

He would not tell us how old the person was....or where they lived.

While the county executive would not released details on the first person to die from coronavirus in the county...he did remind us all that we are talking about people... not just numbers.

He also reiterated that he will not release specifics in terms of where the cases are because as the county executive says...they are everywhere.

There are 8 new cases in oneida county, that makes 46 total positive cases that is out of 604 total tests.

They are waiting for 196 tests to come back..523 people have been discharged.

There are concerns that people from downstate are making their way upstate to get out of new york city.

Picente made it a point to say they will get the same treatment as anyone else.

The numbers are so drastic...we are doing it on all aspects of healthcare.

I cant put a gate up at the thruway and not let people through here...if someone is sick whereever they are they are going to get treated.
