This heartwarming video shows the comical moment a woman ringing the bell to mark her remarkable recovery from cancer gets so excited that she pulls the handle off. Jane Mann, 59, can be seen jangling the gong with an enormous smile on her face and one thumb up to the camera after winning a brave battle with oesophageal cancer. The video then shows the hilarious moment the rope attached to the bell comes off in her hand and captures her telling nurses, "oh no, I've pulled the handle off".Ringing the bell at the end of treatment is a common ritual for cancer survivors around the country, although rarely does the event end with everyone around in hysterics. As the video comes to an end Jane is seen paying an emotional thank you to the nurses who helped her battle the disease before one of them tells her she's done "amazingly". The heartwarming moment was captured at the Clatterbridge Cancer Centre in Birkenhead, Mersyside., on Monday (30/3). Jane said: "The bell is for when a patient finishes treatment, it's a brilliant moment."I was amused when the bell broke, mildly concerned."But they are good at fixing things there, so this is minor in the scheme of things."Jane, a photographer from Chester, has been treated at the Clatterbridge centre since August and underwent a massive operation over Christmas at Liverpool Royal. She said: "Not many people survive what I've had, it's a horrible cancer."Speaking about the nurses and doctors who saved her, she added: "Every single one of them is superb. "They are always so very kind and take the stress out of what's actually going on. "The nurses are always willing to talk about their own lives in a relaxed way which is so calming. We always have a laugh there. "I trust them entirely.
I trust them with my life."
