As the cases of COVID-19 increases across the country, Hindustan Times brings you updates from Mumbai on the pandemic.
Mumbai’s municipal Corporation (BMC) has created an army of officers on the ground to tackle Covid-19.
There are 474 teams at present and each team has two or three officers.
These teams go door-to-door and screen residents of the thousands of buildings in Mumbai.
BMC has screened over 900,000 Mumbai residents so far.
This will go up in the next few days as more screening teams will be roped in.
Movement in the area is monitored by CCTV cameras and state of the art video analytics software.
