Meet the family that 'lives among the dead' in central India

A family in the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh has been "'living with the dead" for the past 13 years.

Video footage from March 2 shows woman cooking and children playing alongside the tombs inside and outside their home in Kadhav Ghat, Bombay Bazaar of Indore.

According to local media, there are 13 graves.

Seven inside their home and six outside.

Mohammad Liyaquat, the owner of the home, commented: "My forefathers were keepers of the graveyard.

Over the years, the graveyard was abandoned, but our family continued living in the premises.

As our family grew, we built houses here, but without damaging the graves," It is also said that the land was given to the ancestors by King Holkar Maharaja of the Holkar dynasty and includes the tomb of a Saint.
