Covid-19 update from UP: Over 2,100 cases; additional beds in hospitals

Uttar Pradesh government confirmed over 2,100 cases of Covid-19 in the state.

Principal Secretary (Health) Amit Mohan Prasad confirmed over 2,100 cases of Covid-19.

Prasad said there are 1,602 active Covid cases in UP and 477 people have been discharged from the hospital.

“Around 4,000 tests are being done daily,” Prasad said.

UP Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Awanish Awasthi confirmed on the additional beds being arranged in view of Covid-19.

“Arrangement of 52,000 additional beds in Covid hospitals is being done,” Awasthi said.
