Indian Air Force (IAF) Apache attack helicopter, at a forward airbase near India-China border, carried out night operations. These attack helicopters are fully loaded with fire-and-forget anti tank guided missiles, air to air missiles, rockets and other ammunitions. Apache helicopters also have modern Electronic Warfare (EW) capabilities to provide versatility to the helicopter in a network centric aerial warfare. These aircrafts have been modified specifically to suit the exacting standards demanded by IAF.

The Indian Air Force has significantly enhanced deployment of frontline jets, attack helicopters and transport fleet in its key bases along the Line of Actual Control. The air activities in the Ladakh area and other places along the China border had gone up extensively soon after the Galwan valley clash on June 15 in which 20 Indian Army personnel lost their lives.

Two people have booked in connection with the alleged rape case of girls, including minors, in Madhya Pradesh, police said on Sunday. "Five girls, including four minors, were found wandering in Ratibad area of Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, yesterday night. On being questioned, they said that they were returning after attending a party where one of them was raped," South Bhopal SP Sai Krishna Thota told ANI. "The minor girls have told the Child Helpline that they were raped several times on several occasions in such parties. We have booked two people including Sweetie Vishwakarma, girl who was accompanying the minors, under POCSO Act. Another accused on the run," he said

Pathani Samanta Planetarium, Deputy Director (Bhubaneswar) on July 12 informed that a comet which was discovered on March 27 will be seen in north-western sky from July 14. "From July 14, C/2020 F3, a comet discovered on March 27, will be clearly visible in the north-western sky. It will be visible after sunset for around 20 minutes for the next 20 days. People can observe it from naked eyes," said Deputy Director, Pathani Samanta Planetarium

A newly-recruited Odisha Finance Service (OFS) officer committed suicide by hanging himself in Khandagiri area of Bhubaneswar. According to the police, he hanged himself due to a family dispute. "We've registered a case based on a complaint that said an Odisha Finance Service officer committed suicide by hanging himself due to a family dispute in Khandagiri area of Bhubaneswar. He was supposed to join the duty in a few days," Deputy Commissioner of Police Anup Kumar Sahoo told ANI.

A class 12th student Divyanshi Jain, scored 600 marks out of 600 to get 100% marks in the CBSE class 12 results declared on July 13.The 18-year-old did not lose a single mark in any of her six subjects scoring a 100 in each. Divyanshi appeared for the exam of all subjects except Geography, which was cancelled due to Covid-19. She was also among the toppers at her school and had scored 97% marks. While speaking to ANI, she said, "It is not compulsory to score the maximum marks, what is important is to give your 100 per cent."
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on July 13 chaired a meeting with the officials of Team 11. The meeting was held to review the COVID-19 situation in the state. Team 11 was formed by the UP government to deal with the coronavirus outbreak. There are over 12,000 active cases of COVID-19 in UP.

While briefing a press conference in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh Principal Health Secretary Amit Mohan Prasad announced that the penalty amount for not wearing face mask in public would be raised from Rs 100 to Rs 500 and a notification has been issued to this effect today.
