Apple on Monday announced a new edition of the MacBook with a 13-inch screen and magic keyboard.

According to The Verge, the new MacBook Pro features optional Intel 10th-Gen processors and its starting price has been pegged at USD 1,299.

The upgrade also means the end of an era as Apple no longer sells any new laptops with the much-maligned butterfly keyboard mechanism.

Samsung to announce 'the most powerful' Galaxy device at Unpacked event [Video]

Samsung to announce 'the most powerful' Galaxy device at Unpacked event

By dropping an intriguing teaser of 'the most powerful Galaxy' device, South Korean tech giant Samsung has announced a new 'Galaxy Unpacked' event set for April 28. The upcoming all-virtual event will be live-streamed on the official site and the YouTube channel of Samsung. The South Korean electronic giant tweeted, "Welcome to a very special Unpacked - the most powerful Galaxy is coming. April 28, 2021. The teaser suggests that it will bring "the most powerful Galaxy" to the forthcoming launch, but the tech giant didn't say what this event will be about. But one thing seems evident; Samsung won't be introducing low-end devices at the event. Going by the teaser, the description of whatever Samsung is announcing as "the most powerful Galaxy" would seem to rule out a phone, like the rumoured GalaxyZ Fold 3. As per The Verge, the most generous depiction of a mobile processor, even one as powerful as Qualcomm's flagship Snapdragon 888, still isn't in the same ballpark as a true laptop processor. And despite recent headlines, Samsung is still rumoured to reveal the Z Fold 3 at a July event, potentially a replacement for the Galaxy Note's high-end summer phone release spot. Samsung is also rumoured to be working on a new Galaxy Book Pro line of laptops, which would feature 13.3-inch and 15.6-inch OLED panels, S-Pen support, and upgraded Intel CPUs. One of the new models - the Galaxy Book Pro 360 - is also said to include 5G compatibility.

Google tests new Android feature 'Guacamole'

Tech giant Google seems to be testing a new feature 'Guacamole' that would let its users stop alarms and answer calls in Android phone simply by saying "stop" with the users not needing to pick up your phone or even say "Hey Google". The Verge quoted a mysterious new setting called 'Guacamole' that has popped up in the Google app on Android 11 for some users. The outlet also sourced the information to Android Police and 9to5Google. However, users have not been able to turn on the feature yet. The new feature was found in users that have their phone updated to Android 11 and Google app version 12.15.9.29. The Verge quoted 9to5Google's sources stating the feature will specifically handle alarms, timers, and calls by letting users say 'Stop', 'Snooze' and 'Answer/decline the call' respectively. Google has already introduced some features of 'Guacamole' into its Google Home/Nest Hub smart speakers and displays at Google I/O 2019.
