Highest increase in Covid-19 cases, deaths, says Govt; recovery rate also up

Union government revealed that India witnessed the highest increase in the number of Covid-19 cases and deaths in the last 24 hours.

Lav Agarwal, Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said that 3,900 confirmed cases and 195 deaths were reported between May 4 and 5.

This took the total number of Covid-19 cases in India to over 46,400, with over 32,100 cases under active medical supervision.
