Indian Air Force Chief Rakesh Kumar Singh Bhadauria on May 18 said, "If the situation demands so, of course, Indian Air Force is ready 24x7." He was replying to a question that if his force is ready to take out any terrorist camp or launchpad across the Line of Control in Pakistan occupied Kashmir.
Indian Air Force Chief (IAF) Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria said that India too can be aggressive if China shows aggression. While addressing a press conference in Rajasthan’s Jodhpur on the sidelines of IAF and the French Air and Space Force's bilateral exercise 'Desert Knight-21', Bhadauria said, “If they (China) can be aggressive, so can we. We are fully prepared.” The IAF Chief also said that eight Rafale fighter jets have arrived in India and three will come by the end of the month. “Enough pilots are being trained. Parallel training is also being done in India. Numbers will be enough so that we can maintain cockpit to pilot ratio. By next year, the induction of the jets will conclude," he added. Exercise Desert Knight-21 is being held at Jodhpur Air Force Station from January 20 to January 24. The French are participating with Rafale, Airbus A-330 Multi-Role Tanker Transport (MRTT), A-400M Tactical Transport aircraft and approximately 175 personnel. The IAF aircrafts participating in the exercise include Mirage 2000, Su-30 MKI, Rafale, IL-78 Flight Refuelling Aircraft, AWACS and AEW&C aircraft. The exercise marks an important milestone in the series of engagements between the two air forces. Watch the full video for more.

If Chinese can be aggressive, India can also be aggressive, said Indian Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria over the current stand-off at LAC, and news of intrusion along the border areas of Arunachal Pradesh. He also said that the IAF pilots are getting training on Rafale aircraft in France, and in India the training of pilots have also started. "Till next year the induction will be fully completed," he added.

The significance of this exercise is that Rafale fighters which have been inducted recently in our Air Force and French Rafale aircrafts along with our (Indian) Su-30s, Mirages have trained together and we have shown that how quickly we have adapted to Rafale fighters," said General Bipin Rawat. He also added, "We also flew in a French multirole transport aircraft (Airbus-330) in which they can ferry passengers, do mid-air refuelling and can also convert it into a medical facility too for medical emergencies. We also saw how our Rafales, Su-30s and Mirages were refuelling from it."

Mortal remains of Havaldar Nirmal Singh arrived at his native place in Ambala on January 22.
