A four-member MHA team visited Bhatpara in North 24 Parganas district on May 06. MHA deputed the team to assess ground situation amid post-poll violence in Bengal. Violence has been reported in several parts of West Bengal after assembly results.
Explosives were recovered from an abandoned room in Bhatpara of North 24 Parganas. 2 buckets with explosives placed in bottles were seized by administration. Timely intervention prevented damage to property and life. Investigation is underway.
