Tornado touches down outside Texas city of Lubbock

A tornado touched down in northern Texas on Friday night (May 22nd) near the city of Lubbock.

Footage showed the powerful twister swirling in a field at around 9 pm local time.

Severe storms with damaging winds moved across northern Texas on Friday night while much of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex saw heavy rain.
