Seven-year-old boy shows off his amazing trick shots

A seven-year-old boy is hoping to be the next Owen Farrell or Jonny Wilkinson after going viral with videos of his incredible trick-shots - using a RUGBY BALL.Rugger-mad Oscar Herbert has been using his time in lockdown to perfect his kicking skills. His dad Gary has filmed him booting the ball over the posts from impossible angles as well as hoofing it through a basketball hoop. The youngster's favourite trick-shot is his ability to kick a drop-goal through the posts from 30m which then lands in a bin.Since uploading his videos on Facebook, they have been shared and viewed tens of thousands of times.Gary, 43, of Northampton, said: "Oscar's big brother Lewis is 17 years old and is severely disabled and he always says that he is kicking for Lewis as well."The thing which impresses me the most is that he perseveres and carries on trying to improve."I am always trying to think outside the box for challenges for Oscar.  "He is always asking me 'Daddy have you got a new challenge for me'. "So far during lockdown he has managed to hit targets on a wall, convert the rugby into a stack of tyres, as well as converting and doing a drop goal over the posts and into a bin.    "The current challenge is for him to do the same but with his left foot (weaker foot), and also into a much smaller sized recycling bin."I am running out of ideas to be honest." Oscar, who has been playing rugby for his local team in Northampton since he was five, has ambitions to represent England one day.Gary, who is full-time carer for his disabled son Lewis, added: "Oscar loves his rugby and especially the kicking side of the game.  "From a young age he has always shown a natural ability to convert a rugby ball over the posts and can also drop goal over full size adult posts, from straight and at angles.  "We are obviously proud of him like any parent would be, but it's about trying to keep it fun for him and keeping his passion for kicking burning, until he can start kicking and converting in games, which is a long way off.   "His heroes are Jonny Wilkinson and James Grayson."
