This is what $500 a month can buy when you live in one of the most expensive cities in the world.

After three years living in this micro-apartment, Youtuber Jack Shirley and his fiance Louise are moving out after their rent was increased from HK$3,600 to HK$4,000 ($500 USD).

In footage recorded in November 2019, the couple shows how they squeezed into their tiny Hong Kong apartment.

Louise even stretches her arms to reach both sides of the room.

Located on the 5th floor with no elevator, the couple adapted to the limited space by utilising the building's communal kitchen and bathroom.
