Drone footage reveals devastation caused by Tropical Storm Cristobal in New Orleans

This drone footage reveals the devastation left behind by Tropical Storm Cristobal that struck New Orleans, Louisiana on June 7.

Hundreds of houses in the Venetian Isles are seen partially submerged as the storm dumped heavy rains and winds on America's Gulf Coast.

The filmer told Newsflare: "This area is outside of the floodgates and the levee protection system.

However, it doesn't usually get water this high for a storm this 'small'.

In fact, while we get some flooding in the lower areas of the neighbourhood occasionally, we don't recall it getting this high in the past 10 years, at least."
