A bunch of flatid bugs, a type of planthopper, with Einstein-like "hair" were spotted in a Malaysian forest.

Wildlife photographer Ian Redmond caught this close-up footage of the waxy bug which bears a resemblance to scientist Albert Einstein's hair.

Redmond told Newsflare: "It is the unusual that catches the eye of a wandering naturalist, and when you see what look like bits of fluff running up and down a branch in a rainforest in Borneo, it is time to reach for a hand-lens, and then the video-camera!

"These extraordinary life-forms, with waxy secretions that grow into crazy 'hair' are nymphs of Flatid bugs." This footage was filmed in July 2015.
