BJP's state president, Ravinder Raina reacted on the deaths of former Bandipora BJP president Sheikh Wasim Bari, along with his father and brother by the terrorists. He said, "Pakistan's terrorists have done a cowardly act by killing Sheikh Wasim Bari Sahab and his brother Umar Sultan and his father. The terrorists attacked them from behind. Sheikh Wasim was a hard working member of BJP. He was a good son of Bharat Mata. The blood of our workers will not go in vain. We will take revenge for every drop of blood. Both Pakistan and its terrorists have to pay for this sin."
A man died at a quarantine centre in Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua allegedly by heart attack hours before his release after testing negative for COVID-19. The people at the quarantine centre protested after the death of the inmate. According to Kathua Deputy Commisioner, "A magisterial probe has been ordered into his death." The body has been shifted to the mortuary and probe has been ordered.
Jammu Frontier Border Security Force, Inspector General NS Jamwal on the Pakistani drone carrying guns and grenades shot down in Kathua said that no doubt the drone came from Pakistan and looking at the kind of weapons that have been recovered, it seems whoever is responsible for this was trying to create a major incident. He further said, "The patrolling party was doing their regular patrolling when they saw a hexa copter from Pakistan's Thakurpura post advancing towards them. First they just heard the noise then they saw the hexa copter entered the Indian Territory. The patrolling party fired on the hexa copter and shot it down. When the hexa copter was searched, we discovered an N4 US made weapon, 2 magazines, semi automatic carbine and 7 grenades. The hexa copter was carrying a pay load of around 5-7kg."
As students across the country have moved to online learning, many are struggling to catch up. Lack of proper internet facilities has made it difficult for children in Kathua to match with others. "We live at border area, there's no internet connection, how will we keep up with other students," said a student. Another student in Kathua expressed unhappiness over lack of facilities amid crisis and urged government to look into the matter.
The residents of J-K's Kathua get relief after the getting relax in lockdown. District administration issued order to open the business establishment as per guidelines and fixation of time. The business establishment including the grocery store, fruits and vegetables shops, milk and bakery, poultry shops, cloths and readymade, cosmetic and multipurpose store are allowed to open.
Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) personnel who have recovered from coronavirus, donated plasma for treatment of COVID-19 positive patients. Speaking on it, Commandant 31st Battalion of CRPF, Deependra Rajput said, "139 CRPF jawans had tested positive for COVID-19 here. Out of 139, 138 have fully recovered and have returned to duty. Till now, three jawans have donated plasma and more are willing to do so. This is another way to serve the country." DIG of BSF, Lalit Kumar said, "We are preparing list of those who have recovered from COVID-19 and the list is with AIIMS hospital so whenever they'll feel need of plasma of BSF personnel, we will donate it to them."
