Thousands of pink flamingos had gathered in the wetlands near Mumbai to shelter against the cyclone earlier this month (June 3).

The video shot at the Talawe wetlands in Navi, India shows the flock of pink birds gathered right before cyclone Nisarga wreaked havoc in certain parts of Gujarat and Maharashtra.

Nature enthusiast Surabhi Agarwal captured the incredible footage from her apartment window.

Surabhi said in a statement: "Flamingos of Talawe, Navi Mumbai signalling us about the incoming Cyclone Nisarga.

And when the cyclonic winds come, they quickly unite and get into formations which help them withstand the winds.

We humans do have much to learn from them.”
