Lack of support from society affects mental health of COVID-19 patients, families: Psychologist

COVID crisis has impacted people across the country.

Speaking about the mental health, Dr Nidhi Agarwal, Assistant Professor of clinical psychologist department, CMC Hospital informed about the effects.

"Patients have increased amid crisis.

COVID affected patients; burden on their care-givers has increased.

Patients in quarantine also get affected when neighbours talk about them.

Lack of cooperation from society affects them.

Overall mental health of family is compromised," said Dr Nidhi Agarwal.

"Already existing psychiatric patients are bothered more by it," she added.
