Ajinkya Rahane returned home after leading India to a historic Test series win Down Under. The stand-in skipper landed in Mumbai and received a hero's welcome on his arrival. A huge number of cricket fans gathered on the Mumbai streets to cheer for Rahane. Flowers were showered on him while dhol and trumpets made it a festive atmosphere. Rahane took over the captaincy after Virat Kohli returned home on paternity leave. Under Rahane's leadership India achieved a historic series win in Australia. India came back from 0-1 down to take the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2-1.

Serum Institute of India's vaccine consignment arrived at Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport on January 22. The consignment containing COVID-19 vaccine will be dispatched to Myanmar, Seychelles and Mauritius.
UP Police reached Mumbai to conduct a probe into the case lodged against web series 'Tandav'. The four-member team arrived at the residence of 'Tandav' director Ali Abbas Zafar. Issuing notice, UP Police asked Zafar to be present before the Investigation Officer on January 27. 'Tandav' landed in controversy for allegedly 'hurting religious sentiments'. At least three FIRs have been lodged against the makers and artists of 'Tandav'. The FIRs have been registered in UP's Lucknow, Greater Noida and Shahjahanpur. 'Tandav', a nine-episode political thriller, started streaming on Amazon Prime last week. The web series stars Saif Ali Khan, Dimple Kapadia and Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub among others.
