The health department says the delay in lab reports is what lead to the huge spike in COVID-19 cases this weekend.

Saturday, 1,100 new cases were reported, the largest spike in cases in a single day.

CASES THIS WEEKEND.SATURDAY 11 HUNDRED NEWCORONVIRUS CASES WERE REPORTEDIN NEVADA-- SETTING A NEWRECORD FOR THE NUMBER OF NEWCOVID-19 CASES IN ONE DAY.AND SUNDAY MORE THAN 800 NEWCASES WERE REPORTED.ONE DOCTOR WE SPOKE TO SAYS-WE'RE NOT GOING TO SEE THEBENEFITS OF THE MASKENFORCEMENT UNTIL ABOUT 2-3WEEKS FROM NOW- SO WE WILLLIKELY CONTINUE TO SEE SOMERISE IN CASES.ACCORDING TO THE STATE HEALTHDEPARTMENT THERE ARE NOW MORETHAN 17 THOUSAND CASES OFCOVID-19 IN OUR STATE AND 500PEOPLE HAVE DIED.AS WE LOOK AHEAD TO THE 4TH OFJULY WEEKEND -- 31 STATES A
