Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik Chakraborty reached the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) office in Mumbai on Jan 04. Both arrived at the NCB office to mark their attendance. As per bail conditions, Rhea must report before the agency on the first Monday of every month, for six months. On Jan 3, Rhea was spotted months after release from jail. She was accompanied by her brother. Rhea and Showilk were seen looking for a new house in Mumbai. Rhea is under investigation following the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. CBI is probing the case after the Supreme Court ordered transfer from Mumbai police. Rhea & her brother were arrested by NCB in a drug-related case. Comedian Kapil Sharma appeared before the Crime Branch of Mumbai Police on Thursday to record his statement in connection with alleged cheating and forgery case against car designer Dilip Chhabria, an official said. The Crime Intelligence Unit (CIU) of Mumbai police had unearthed a major DC Avanti car financing and forgery scam and arrested Chhabria in the case last month. "During the investigation, it came to light that comedian Kapil Sharma had also been allegedly duped. He showed willingness to share information in connection with the case. Accordingly, he appeared before the CIU on Thursday to record his statement," the official said. The alleged scam came to light when the police seized a DC Avanti, a sports-car manufactured by Dilip Chhabria Design Pvt Ltd, in south Mumbai on a tip-off that its registration number was bogus. Comedian Kapil Sharma arrived at the Crime Branch office of Mumbai Police for recording his statement in a forgery case filed by the comedian against car designer Dilip Chhabria. Kapil Sharma had filed a complaint against Chhabria for allegedly cheating him.
Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut reached the Bandra police station on Jan 8 to record her statement in a case related to sedition and other charges. Ranaut, who has been provided Y-plus category security of CRPF personnel, arrived at the police station in suburban Mumbai around 1 pm along with her advocate amid heavy media presence. The Bandra police had registered an FIR against Ranaut and her sister Rangoli Chandel for allegedly promoting enmity between communities through their remarks in October. The FIR was registered following orders from a magistrates court in Bandra. A casting director and fitness trainer, had filed the complaint referring to tweets and other statements of Kangana and her sister. Earlier, the Mumbai police had sent notices three times asking them to appear for recording their statements in the case. The Bombay High Court in November had granted interim protection from arrest to Kangana and her sister, and directed them to appear before the police on January 8. Watch the full video for more.
