'We urge parents to persuade their offspring to join mainstream,' says Kashmir IGP

Speaking on the constant rise in the numbers of youths joining militancy, Kashmir's Inspector General of Police, Vijay Kumar urged parents to persuade their offspring to join mainstream.

"Around 129 youths joined militancy between January and June in 2019.

During same period this year, 67 youths joined militancy out of which 24 have been eliminated, 12 arrested and rest are active.

We urge parents to persuade their offspring to join the mainstream," said Kashmir IGP Vijay Kumar.
