A kind neighbour named Seksith stayed in the area when he noticed the distressed pair in Rayong province on June 30.

The good Samaritan videos the devastation while waiting for the rescuers to arrive to help the old man and the dog out of the house Footage shows the deluge submerging farmland, roads, homes, and other structures turning the village into lake.

Seksith said the path leading to the house was blocked by huge debris and strong currents so he waited for the emergency team before proceeding.

He said: "We were finding the way to help the old man.

The floodwater is strong but we should help him out of the place as soon as possible." The rescuers were able to take the old man and the dog out of the house and were taken to the evacuation shelter to receive assistance.
