Work begins for India’s first vertical lift railway bridge at Rameswaram

Construction work at Tamil Nadu’s Pamban railway bridge began.

The project, undertook by Indian Railway, is expected to be completed in two years.

The new bridge would be around 2 km in length.

It will be India’s first vertical lift railway sea bridge.
