'Tamil Nadu govt's action delayed': Kanimozhi on Tuticorin custodial deaths

DMK leader Kanimozhi slammed Tamil Nadu government saying that the arrests have been ‘delayed’ in the Tuticorin custodial death case.

The Crime Branch-CID arrested four more cops in the case.

A total of 5 policemen have been arrested in the case so far.

P Jayaraj and his son J Bennicks were arrested on June 19 for keeping their shop open violating lockdown norms. The father-son duo was allegedly tortured during the police custody.

Both were admitted to the Kovilpatti government hospital where they died.
