BPJ president JP Nadda took a jibe at Congress and J&K leaders in Hyderabad. He said, “In Jammu and Kashmir, NC leader Farooq Abdullah says he'll seek China's help to restore Article 370. PDP leader Mehbooba Mufti says she'll not raise tricolour until Jammu and Kashmir, Farooq’s flag is restored. These are our national leaders. Congress opposes Modi ji but ends up opposing the country. It stands with Gupkar alliance.” Nadda held a roadshow in Hyderabad on Friday ahead of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation election. The mortal remains of Sepoy Yash Deshmukh were brought to his residence on November 28. Locals held the tricolour as mortal remains of the 21-year-old Deshmukh reached his native village. He was killed in action during terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Srinagar on November 26. Two soldiers were killed in the attack by terrorists in the HMT area located on the outskirts of Srinagar city.
Polling for the first phase of the first-ever elections for District Development Council (DDC) in JandK, began on November 28. People queued up outside Shamasabad polling station in Budgam. 43 out of 280 constituencies in the Union Territory are undergoing voting in the first phase of DDC elections. Elections will conclude on December 19 and counting of votes will take place on December 22.
Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir region received fresh spell of snowfall and rain which have triggered cold wave conditions in the region. The snowfall led to closure of several roads connecting remote villages in the area. In view of heavy snowfall in the higher reaches of the valley, a 'low danger' avalanche warning was issued for Poonch, Rajouri, Ramban, Doda, Anantnag, Kulgam, Baramulla, and Ganderbal.
Three Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers were killed in J-K's Kulgam on October 29 after terrorists opened fire at them. DGP of J-K, Dilbag Singh said, "Terrorists involved in the killing of three BJP workers in Kulgam on Oct 29 have been identified, further investigation is underway."

Three Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers were killed in J-K's Kulgam on October 29 after terrorists opened fire at them.
At least four terrorists have been gunned down and two police constables sustained injuries in the encounter at Ban Toll Plaza in Jammu on November 19. Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and J-K Police received input about the movement of terrorists from Samba sector towards Nagrota. When the terrorists reached the toll plaza they were trapped and eliminated by the security forces. Total 11 AK-47 rifles and several grenades have been recovered. The encounter broke out between terrorists and security forces on the morning of November 19.
Kashmir's Inspector General of Police Vijay Kumar reacted on Nagrota encounter. He said that Pakistan is trying to infiltrate terrorists into India to disturb Panchayat election in Kashmir. He said that Jammu and Kashmir Police and security forces have done good job by neutralising the terrorists. Kumar added that the intention of the killed terrorists was to disturb the elections in the valley. "We are providing security to the candidates and there is no need o worry," he said.
Two unidentified terrorists neutralised in an ongoing operation in Kutpora area of J and K's Shopian on November 10. The troops of 178 Battalion CRPF along with the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police conducted a joint cordon and search operation in Shopian. Brief exchange of fire occurred between the troops and the terrorists at 6 am, this morning.
