Congressional Democrats offered to reduce a proposed coronavirus aid package by $1 trillion if Republicans would add a trillion to their counter-offer, but President Donald Trump's negotiators turned them down on Friday as more talks ended without a deal.
Racial disparities in the U.S. coronavirus epidemic extend to children, according to HuffPost. Two sobering government reports released Friday show how race does change how COVID effects us. One of the CDC reports looked at children with COVID-19 who needed hospitalization. Hispanic children were hospitalized at a rate eight times higher than white kids. Black children were hospitalized at a rate five times higher, it found. The exact cause for this disparity has not been nailed down, as of yet.
Roughly one in three children hospitalized with COVID-19 in the US has needed ICU treatment. This figure was released on Friday by the U.S, according to UPI.com. Hospitalized adults infected with COVID-19 are admitted to the ICU at essentially the same rate. However, adults are 20 times more likely to need hospital care after getting infected than children. Invasive mechanical ventilation was required in less than 6% of children. This is compared to nearly 19% of adults.

Indians in the United States celebrated the foundation laying ceremony of Ayodhya's Ram Temple. Indians gathered outside Capitol Hill in Washington for the celebration. People wore saffron clothes, held saffron flags to celebrate the Bhoomi Pujan. Members of Indian community also chanted 'Jai Shri Ram'. Prime Minister Narendra Modi performed 'bhumi pujan' & laid foundation stone of the new Ram temple. PM Modi also offered prayers at Hanumangarhi and the idols of 'Ram lalla' or child deity. All participants, including PM and priests, wore face masks and observed social distancing norms. Attendance at the event was limited due to outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic. RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, UP CM Yogi Adityanath also attended the grand ceremony. Construction of Ram Temple is beginning 9 months after SC verdict. Ram Janmabhoomi Teertha Kshetra Trust is overseeing temple construction.
