Around 2000 beds made of polypropylene (a recyclable material) by BubbleGuard Division Nilkamal Limited have been donated for Radha Soami Satsang Beas in Delhi amid coronavirus outbreak in the national capital.
While speaking to ANI, the Executive Director of company, Mihir Parekh said, "When pandemic began, we began creating a range of COVID-19 solutions, including beds and virus-guard partitions for offices and buses, using polypropylene (a recyclable material).
The cases of coronavirus continued to surge in India, however, fatality rate dipped to 1.99 %, informed Health Ministry. National Expert Group on vaccine administration has also been constituted by Centre. Maharashtra continues to witness surge of over 10,000 COVID-19 cases taking total tally in the state to 5,35,601. Delhi reported 1257 COVID-19 cases and 8 deaths on Aug 11. Karnataka recorded 6,257 COVID-19 cases today. While, Tamil Nadu reported 5,834 COVID-19 cases and 118 deaths so, total number of cases in the state is now at 3,08,649, including 2,50,680 discharged, 52,810 active cases and 5,159 deaths. Andhra Pradesh recorded 9024 cases. Country has conducted over 2.5 crore sample tests so far.
Embassy of Israel on August 11 contributed state-of-the-art artificial intelligence based technologies and high-end equipment to the AIIMS, Delhi. Contribution was made as a part of Israel-India cooperation to fight ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. "It is the most advanced medical equipment that we developed in Israel especially for fighting COVID-19. Some of it was contributed by companies, they just love India and some of it was purchased with special fund allocated by our Foreign Minister," said Israel's Envoy to India Ron Malka.
Congress leader Sachin Pilot returned to Jaipur, Rajasthan on Tuesday. Pilot said he has not demanded any post from the party and there should not be any vendetta politics. On Monday, a meeting between Sachin Pilot and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi had signaled an "amicable resolution" of nearly a month-long Rajasthan political crisis ahead of the crucial assembly session beginning August 14. The Congress leader said that he did not make any statement against the party and had gone to discuss issues with the Congress high command in Delhi. I have not demanded any post from the party, he added. Pilot, however, said he was shocked at statements made against him."I am sad, shocked, and hurt due to the kind of words used against me," Pilot said. He said there should not be any space for “personal ill-feelings” in politics and there should not be any vendetta politics.

Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Harsh Vardhan on July 12 visited the 10,000-bed Sardar Patel COVID Care Centre at Radha Soami Beas in Chattarpur in the national capital. He took stock of the situation at the humongous facility to ensure proper treatment for the COVID patients. The Health Minister wore PPE kit before interacting with COVID patients at the centre where he also inspected the availability of essentials required for treatment.
A team of 30 freshly inducted doctors of Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) has been deployed at Sardar Patel COVID Care Centre and Hospital in Delhi. They have been deployed at Radha Soami Satsang Beas in Chattarpur on July 06. These doctors have been deployed at the centre as their first posting in service. Total confirmed coronavirus cases in the national capital is about to touch 1 lakh mark. While speaking to media, the Medical Officer (Assistant Commandant) of ITBP, Dr Sagardeep Grewal said, "We are extremely proud to be serving the nation at the time of COVID-19 crisis. We will put our best efforts to save the country and its people."
Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) is the nodal agency to operate the 10,000 bedded Sardar Patel COVID Care Centre and Hospital at Radha Soami Beas in Chattarpur. At the inaugural ceremony, DG of ITBP, SS Deswal said, "Our doctors, nurses and paramedic staff will take care of this COVID-19 care facility. ITBP has experience of several months in handling COVID patients. Initially, ITBP was deployed at quarantine centres. We are also running a 200 bedded centre for the forces in Noida. We are confident to handle any number of patients here." As per the last bulletin of Delhi Health Department, Delhi has a total of 97,200 COVID-19 cases including 68,256 recovered cases and 25,940 active cases.

Last rites of Captain DV Sathe were performed in Mumbai on August 11. Maharashtra government accorded state funeral to late Wing Commander (Retd) Sathe. Earlier, his mortal remains were brought to his residence. Captain Sathe was flying the Air India Express flight which crash-landed at Kozhikode airport on August 7. Flight crash claimed 18 lives.

Social networking site Facebook foiled a suicide attempt of a man by informing the suicidal tendencies he showed on the platform to cyber cell of Delhi Police about it. The man was saved in Mumbai by police officials on August 10. DCP Mumbai (Cyber Cell) Rashmi Karandikar briefed about the incident and said, "Facebook shared details with Delhi Police since phone number linked with the account was registered there.""A police team went to (his home) in East Delhi. The phone number was of his wife who said that she had a fight with her husband who is in Mumbai. We contacted the man, counselled him, traced his location and averted the suicide bid," she said.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a video conference with Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Maharashtra, Punjab, Bihar, Gujarat, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh on August 11. During his address, PM said, "The average fatality rate has been continuously decreasing while the recovery rate is increasing every day, this shows that measures being taken by us are in the right direction." "Experts are saying now that if within 72 hours, a person is diagnosed, then the spread can be controlled to a great extent. So, it is important that all the people who come in contact with an infected person must be tested within 72 hours," he added.
Health Ministry Secretary Rajesh Bhushan in a press conference over COVID-19 situation in India on August 11 informed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the video conferencing with 10 states on August 11 asked them to increase their testing rate. Rajesh Bhushan said, "PM referred to the fact that there are states - Bihar, Gujarat, UP, West Bengal and Telangana where there's need to increase testing rate as positivity rate at present in these states is on higher side."

He said, "I am enrolling in class 11 now and will study hard.
