Heavy rainfall leads to flood in Bihar's Muzaffarpur, lives of villagers severely affected

The annual flood in Bihar has again forced poor people out of their homes.

Several areas submerged in the flood water.

The water level has increased in Bagmati River due to heavy rain.

The villagers said they have not got any relief or food materials from administration yet.

Villagers are facing several troubles to be alive.

A villager said, "The whole area submerged in water, we have not received any food materials from administration yet.

To save our lives, we have to run away from our home as water level going to increase here in coming days."Bagmati River is in spate due to continuous rains and water released by Nepal.

"3 police personnel were injured. 12 accused have been arrested," he added.

Watch: Anti-China protests intensify in Nepal against land encroachment

Anti-China protests are now intensifying in Kathmandu against illegal construction by the Chinese in Nepalese territory. Members of the Nepal Students union held protests in front of the Chinese embassy against Chinese construction in the northern Nepal district of Humla. Protesters were carrying banners asking China to return to their territory and raised slogans against China’s expansionist designs. The Nepalese foreign ministry had rejected reports in local media about illegal construction by the Chinese in the Humla district. The opposition has lashed out at the government for making comments even before a team of government officials visited the area and filed a field report on the developments. The release from the Ministry further claimed that the same sort of issue was raised in 2016 which turned down the earlier claims. Local media and since last week been carrying reports of land encroachment by China, which had illegally constructing 9 buildings in the Lapcha Bagar area of Humla District. Demonstration held against land encroachment in front of Chinese Embassy in Nepal

A group of people demonstrated in front of Chinese Embassy in Nepal's capital city Kathmandu on September 23 against recent land encroachment by China. Demonstrators held placards and banners reading 'Back off China' message after Nepali land was encroached to construct 9 infrastructures in Lapcha Bagar area of Nepal's Humla District. Chief District Officer Chiranjibi Giri have toured the area earlier on Wednesday where he was sent back by Chinese forces claiming it to be their land and building were constructed on their land. Soon after discovering about illegal construction of infrastructures in Nepali land by Chinese side, it has been reported that pillar number 11 in the area is now not traceable. The Chinese side has built buildings at a distance of around two kilometers from border in Lapcha Limi area of Humla District. China in the recent years has been carrying out construction works near the border with Nepal for several years. While the Government of Nepal has remained mum over the issue, the Chinese Mission in Nepal has issued a release claiming the building are built in their side instead asking Nepali authorities to verify the border points. "The buildings mentioned in the media have been verified to be on the Chinese side of the China-Nepal border. The Nepali side may make verification again," Chinese Embassy spokesperson said today. Area now encroached by China is also said to offer view of Kailash Mansarovar which lies in the Tiber Autonomous Region.
