Flood woes continue to haunt Assam

The situation has worsened due to flood in Assam.

At least 76 people died and 53,99,017 people are affected across 30 districts.

The data is recorded till July 17 by Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA).

A total of 552 relief camps have been established in the state, the ASDMA report reads.

Additionally, agricultural land has been affected while thousands of people have been evacuated from the flood-affected areas.

Not even human but animals are also feeling the brunt.

Hundreds of cattle, dogs and small animals also lost their lives due to flood.

A total of 96 animals have died in the Kaziranga National Park in Golaghat due to floods in the state, the Assam government informed on Saturday.
