Indore women made 'swadeshi-rakhi' for PM Modi

A group of women in Indore made 'rakhis' for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

They also made 'rakhis' for soldiers.The 'rakhis' were made under 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' to avoid Chinese product claimed Member of Parliament from Indore, Shankar Lalwani.

"Women made 'rakhis' by using home material and even from 'Gobar' (cow dung).

After sending 'rakhis' to PM Modi, HM Amit Shah and soldiers, we will sell them in local area and distribute the money among the women who made them," said Shankar Lalwani.

The Home Minister paid tribute at National Police Memorial on Police Commemoration Day. "My tributes to police personnel who lost their lives in the line of duty. So far, 35,398 police personnel have lost their lives in the line of duty. Names of all those police personnel are marked here at the wall. This memorial is not just made of bricks and cement. This memorial remembers the martyrdom of our soldiers. We salute the martyrdom of brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives," he said. The police memorial in the national capital is spread over 6.12 acres. It has a 30-foot tall heavy black granite central sculpture and a museum and 'Wall of Valour' bearing names of police personnel who died on duty. The Police Commemoration Day is observed every year on October 21. The day is observed in memory of CRPF jawans who died in Ladakh while fighting Chinese troops on this day in 1959.

Looop works by cleaning the garments and shredding them into fibres, then spinning that into new yarn which is then knitted into new fashion items. The scheme is part of H&M’s plan to build a more sustainable business model based on more garments being reused and recycled into new clothes. The system uses no water and no chemicals, which means it has a lower environmental impact. By 2030, the brand’s aim is for all its materials to be either recycled or sourced in a more sustainable way.
