Congress MLAs, CM Ashok Gehlot left from Raj Bhawan where they raised slogans and protested over the issue of the convening of Assembly Session.
CM Gehlot has now called a cabinet meeting at 9:30 pm today.
While speaking to media, Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala said, "Chief Minister wants to prove majority, call Assembly Session on COVID crisis and wants to silence those who say Congress doesn't have majority.
Governor told us he will abide by Constitution.
He gave CM a note that is to be looked into, then Governor will have to follow Article 174 of Constitution." "We believe the Governor.
A state cabinet meeting will be held today at 09:30 pm, the note will be looked into and a reply will be sent to the Governor today itself," he added.
Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot tested positive for Covid-19 on Thursday. The 69-year-old Congress leader made the announcement on Twitter. Gehlot isolated himself on Wednesday after his wife Sunita had tested positive. PM Narendra Modi wished good health and speedy recovery to Gehlot, his wife. Rajasthan Governor Kalraj Mishra also wished for Gehlot's speedy recovery. Meanwhile, former PM Manmohan Singh was discharged from AIIMS Delhi. The 88-year-old Congress veteran was hospitalised after testing positive for Covid. Singh was admitted to AIIMS trauma centre, a dedicated Covid facility, on April 19. Singh received the first dose of Covid vaccine on March 4 & second dose on April 3.

The Indian Air Force on Monday airlifted six empty cryogenic oxygen containers from Dubai and positioned them at Panagarh in West Bengal for refilling, officials said. The IAF is planning to bring from Dubai another six oxygen containers on Tuesday, they said. In India, two containers were airlifted from Jaipur to Jamnagar for refilling on Monday, they said.
