Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has been discharged from hospital after recovering from COVID-19. He was discharged from Bhopal's Chirayu Hospital on August 05. Speaking to ANI on Ram Temple, CM Chouhan said, "Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone of Ram Temple today in Ayodhya. The 'mahayagya' which started 500 years ago, is culminating today." "The willpower and resolve shown by PM Narendra Modi has today made him the tallest leader of India in the last 500 years," he added. MP CM Shivraj had tested positive for the disease on July 25. The hospital has advised him to isolate himself at home and self monitor his health for further 7 days.

Maharashtra on August 06, reported 11,514 new COVID-19 cases, which took the total number of cases in the state to 4,79,779. While Andhra Pradesh, reported 10,328 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours. Total cases in the state reached 1,96,789 including 1,12,870 recoveries and 1,753 deaths. Karnataka also saw rise of 6,805 COVID-19 cases and 93 deaths in last 24 hours. 5,684 new COVID-19 cases were reported in Tamil Nadu and 110 deaths today.
Mariappan, a miniature artist from Tamil Nadu's Coimbatore made a figurine of Lord Ram using gold. He crafted the statuette ahead of Ram Temple 'Bhoomi Pujan' in Ayodhya. He said, "Construction of Ram temple is historic. I've made a one-inch statuette of Lord Ram using 1.2-gram gold to mark this occasion and will send it to Ram temple trust."
A cycle borne miscreant snatched gold chain from a 65-year-old woman Uma in Tamil Nadu's Madurai. The incident took place in broad daylight on August 02 in the East Veli Street area of Madurai. The robbery was caught in a CCTV camera. Uma has lodged a complaint at the Southgate Police Station in Madurai. Police are investigating the robbery case based on her complaint.
